Mental Health recovery means being able to create and live a meaningful life and contribute to your community, with or without mental health issues.
Recovery is about all of your life, not just your symptoms. It involves:
  • finding hope, and developing self-esteem and resilience
  • having a sense of purpose and meaning in your life
  • building healthy relationships
  • gaining independence
and for the Christian a rest and assurance in Christ that His grace is sufficient. 
In our Bible Study Mental Wellness Groups you will find biblical answers to questions like:
  • Is depression in the bible?
  • Why has not God healed my mental illness?
  • Have I sinned?
  • How does mental illness recovery work?
  • How to overcome mental health self-stigma.
You will thrive your way to wellness by developing a life of resiliency and renewal as we explore; 
  • Healthy Lifestyle Habits topics include: Sleeping well, Learning to relax, Eating healthier, Being more active. Evaluating your medication
  • Healthy Mind topics include:  Living balanced, Renewing your mind, Managing stressors, Recognizing cycles and triggers, Brain strength training,
  • Healthy Faith topics include: 
  •  Knowing a Good God,  Knowing your true identity, Discovering purpose, Life-giving Community, Discovering hope
  • Healthy Relationships topics include:  
  • Healthy relationships, Getting through conflict, Simple forgiveness, Beyond what others think, Refreshing others
  • The W.R.A.P. Program better known as The Wellness Recovery Action Plan

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers 

1.  Do I have to be a Christian to attend? 

No, but we will have certain requirements in place which you will have to agree to.

2.  What type of materials will I need? 

There is a workbook you will need to purchase, but we will also be giving away workbooks doing our signup contest in early September.  You will receive more information about that in the September Newsletter.

 

3.  Do you plan to offer the bible study group in-person. 

Yes, but we have not set a location or when, and only as pandemic circumstances become safer.

 

4.  Is there a cost? 

No.  But there is a cost for the book if you chose to purchase it.

5.  How will you contact me? 

You will receive a email confirmation the first week of September with choice of dates and times.

 

6.  How do I sign up? 

Click the Subscribe Today button above and fill out your information, include in the message box you are interested in the Bible Study & Support Group Information.

7.  Do I have to live in Ohio?

No.  We have women in our groups from all over the world.

8.  Is there a certain age limit?

Our material is about mental health wellness which applies to every one. If we receive enough interest in a group for ages 13-17 we would be glad to consider adding it to our choice list, but it would be only with parent(s) or guardians written and virtual permissions.
