Surviving the Pandemic during the  Holiday Season

Focus on the Reason for the Season

As 2020 is coming to an end we will be gathering with family and friends in new ways.  The virtual platform has become a new meanings that we can all benefit from to stay safe and virus-free, as well as keep our love ones.  It really doesn't have to be a lonely time.  We can all figure out safe ways to still enjoy the holidays without risking the spread of Covid 19.  Here are a a few tips, as well as coping information and strategies offered by the ADAMHS Board of Cuyahoga County and the Suicide Prevention Coalition.

  • Plan a virtual gift opening time (this will mean sending that gift early enough to arrive on time for Christmas).

  • Plan a virtual dinner time.  A time where family can virtually gather together and eat at the same time. (this might mean cooking ahead, and delivering the Christmas meals to family members a day ahead, or ordering your Christmas meal and picking it up or having it delivered.
